Brie Larson was the name on everyone’s lips yesterday as she picked up the Best Actress Oscar for her role in Irish-directed film Room, at the 88th Academy Awards.

Although little did we know becoming an Oscar winner wasn’t always the title in the 26-year-old’s sights -in Larson’s early years she dreamed of becoming a Grammy winner.

Back in 2005, in the height of the Britney and Christina era, Brie channelled her inner Avril Lavigne in her pop song, ‘She Said’.

Complete with converse, studded belt and electric guitar, we're finding it hard not to cringe for her.

Maybe her song ‘Finally got out of P.E’ was a little catchier?
