U2 rumoured to play in Apple Cork today

Could it be a 'beautiful day' all round for the people of Cork today?

Not only was it announced that Apple is to create 1,000 new jobs at its European headquarters on the north side of the city, it is now rumoured that U2 will surprise employees with an impromptu performance.

Bono has collaborated with the giant company on multiple occasions in the past; firstly as a front runner in the creation of their Product Red products and of course who could forget that iTunes album drop fiasco of last year?

Either way, the rumour is causing a stir on Twitter:
