WATCH: Ryan Gosling helps Hollywood pronounce Saoirse Ronan's name

If you’ve been blessed with an Irish name, you can relate to the frustration of having to repeatedly pronounce it for everyone outside of Ireland.
“AW nya” or “EE fa” not to mention, “DEER mid”.
Last night, Ryan Gosling presented Saoirse Ronan with an award at the Hollywood Film Awards and decided to give her a little break from her 'name frustration' and give everyone a lesson in Irish pronunciation.
“It’s not Say-or-see or Seer-say or Sor-cery but it probably should be…it’s Ser-sha, like inertia,” he joked.
The Notebook actor then introduced the actress to the stage as “Saoirse Rohan” but was quickly corrected by Saoirse herself whispering “Ronan” in his ear.
Gosling continued to rave about the Carlow native saying the she is not only one of his favourite actresses but one of his favourite people.

Does anyone else pronounce it Sir-sha? Or is it just us?
