WATCH: That moment you do a Robert De Niro impression in front of Robert De Niro

Doing impressions is risky at the best of times, but when your inspiration is legendary actor Robert De Niro and he's sitting only a few metres away from you then the pressure is on.

British actor Tom Hiddleston appeared on the Graham Norton Show last week, and as he’s known for his spot-on celebrity impressions, Norton asked him to impress the crowd.

Firstly, Hiddleston - who's best known for playing Loki in the Avengers series - launched into an impeccable impersonation of Owen Wilson and Christopher Walken before recreating both Al Pacino and De Niro’s roles from the famous coffee shop scene in Heat.

No pressure.

Luckily for Tom, De Niro was very impressed.
