This year, the Late Late Toy Show is coming to a town near you

RTÉ bosses are changing the selection process up a bit for this year's Late Late Toy Show by taking their auditions on the road.

Auditions will be held in Cork on October 12, in Athlone on October 13 and in Sligo on October 14.

In previous years, talent auditions were confined to RTÉ’s Dublin 4 studio which made it more difficult for talented kids around the country to attend.

“As everyone knows the kids are the stars of the Toy Show. This country is jam-packed with young talent and this year we’re casting the net far and wide to make sure the country’s brightest young stars get their chance to shine,” host Ryan Tubridy has said.

So, how do you apply we hear you ask:

1. Download an application form here

2. Send your audition tape to RTÉ on either a USB or DVD before Monday October 5.

3. Wait for the call - successful applicants will be called for an audition at their location of choice.

Children can also apply to be a toy demonstrator on the show, although these auditions will be held in Dublin only.

The show's producer Katherine Drohan, said: “We are always on the look-out for the latest LEGO genius or Rubix Cube expert, but we also love to hear from kids who have interesting hobbies outside the top ten toys”.

So, what are you waiting for? If your little munchkin has always dreamed of appearing on the show, this year just might be their year.
