Selena Gomez felt 'violated' after her split from Justin Bieber
The 23-year-old singer hated being asked about the break up and instead decided to write about it for her new album 'Revival'.
She told Wonderland magazine: "It was very violating and I think [my album] was such an outlet for me to talk about how I see things.
"Honestly, it's the first time somebody said: 'So what do you want to do?' and I literally had no idea what I wanted to do because I didn't have anyone to fall back on.
"I wasn't asking Disney, I wasn't asking anyone. It was going to be solely me. And at this point there had been so many people talking about my life."

Selena found writing the record therapeutic and can't wait to share it with fans.
She added: "I wanted the opportunity to figure out what I'm going to say and how I'm going to say it so people can understand me. It took about a year in total to figure it out."
"Obviously it is exciting and beautiful and I can't wait. It is going to be my revival, that's why I've titled it 'Revival'. I had to understand that the real world was exactly where I need to be, or else I'm going to lose my mind."
