That awkward moment when a Home and Away star tweets the wrong Tommy Walsh

We all know that horrible feeling of tagging the wrong person on Facebook, or not to mention that dreading slip of the thumb to ‘add as friend’ during a good Facebook stalk.

Well, turns out we’re not the only ones - Home and Away star Lynne McGranger made her very own social media faux pas yesterday.

Lynne, who plays Irene in the Australian soap - is a massive fan of the Sydney Swans and intended to tweet former Swans player and Kerry man Tommy Walsh for a catch up.

Who knew they were friends?

She wasn’t far off though, her tweet was actually received by a man from Ballybunion, Co Kerry, also by the name of Tommy Walsh.

Don't worry Traleetoday.ie journalist Gavin O’Connor was on hand to inform the actress of her mistake.

Apparently this isn’t the first time Tommy from Ballybunion got into this predicament. .

When he joined Twitter back in 2013, he gained a few die-hard Kilkenny hurling fans as followers.

And earlier this year the Kerry footballer was mistaken for another T Walsh who met Harry Rednapp.
