Sinead O'Connor cancels summer tour

Sinead O'Connor has cancelled her summer tour due to illness.

In a statement, Sinead's management said she is suffering from exhaustion due to an existing, unresolved medical situation.

The singer has apologised to her fans but she says her doctor has told her to take a complete rest.

Sinead was due to play a headline gig at Galway International Arts Festival on Thursday.

The promoters say support act John Grant will now headline the concert and refunds will be available.
