New dates for X Factor auditions announced

Television producers have revealed new dates for X Factor auditions after several were cancelled in the wake of the death of Simon Cowell’s mother.

The music mogul was famously close to his mother, Julie Brett, who died earlier this month aged 89.

Several audition dates in London and Manchester have been cancelled over the past couple of weeks.

Producers have added additional auditions next Wednesday and Thursday at London’s Wembley Arena.

This year sees Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini joined by new judges Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw.
