Florence and The Machine replace Foo Fighters at Glastonbury

The news comes after the band’s lead singer Dave Grohl fractured his leg after falling off the stage at their concert in Gothenburg, Sweden last week.

Foo Fighters have cancelled the rest of their summer European tour, including their Glastonbury gig which they were set to headline.

But don’t worry Florence and The Machine have happily replaced the American rock band on the prestigious Pyramid Stage.

The news comes after the band’s lead singer Dave Grohl fractured his leg after falling off the stage at their concert in Gothenburg, Sweden last week.

Ouch!

Even though 15 minutes later Grohl returned to the stage with his leg wrapped and finished the concert sitting in a chair.

The rest of the band resumed playing as the singer was taken away for medical attention, but when he was later carried back on stage on a stretcher he told the crowd he would not leave the stage unless given orders by a doctor to do so.

Grohl offered an apology to fans on the Foo Fighters' website, along with pictures of his x-rays and an update saying he had undergone surgery.

To access Grohl message, fans are asked to click of the operation board’s broken heart reiterating the sad news.

“It kills me to say it…..the doctors have told us to cancel shows. I’m really so sorry, guys. You know I hate to do it, but I’m afraid it’s just not physically possible for me at the moment,” he writes.

"Without a doubt the single most bizarre Foo Fighters show in the entire 20 years of being a band

"Dislocating my ankle and snapping my fibula like an old pair of take out chopsticks."

Finally on the topic of Glastonbury, Grohl wrote: "Ps … Kanye … Imma let you have this one... "

Woops, shhhh … don’t tell Kanye Florence got there before him.
