Ed Sheeran to guest star on Home and Away

Move over Irene Roberts – there’s a new redhead in Summer Bay.

Ed Sheeran has filmed a guest appearance on Home and Away.

The Thinking Out Loud singer was spotted at the show's Palm Beach location before Home and Away officially announced the news on Twitter.

The Grammy Award winner was pictured linking arms with Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn in the Australian soap.

"He will appear as himself in the series, but the storyline details about what brings Ed to Summer Bay are being kept under wraps for now," a spokesperson from the show has revealed.

Just your typical day in Home and Away, Ed strolling past the Diner on his way to the Boat House.

Sheeran is currently in Australia for a tour before he returns to Ireland in July for two dates in Croke Park.
