Zayn 'fine', say 1D insiders

Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards are "fine".

The One Direction hunk has flown back to the UK after being signed off the band's world tour in Asia with stress and spent five hours chatting to the Little Mix singer at their home in Barnet, North London yesterday.

She was later seen getting in a car with an overnight bag, but insiders insist the couple haven't split up.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "[The relationship is] fine. They both still live there."

The pair's four-year relationship came under scrutiny after photographs surfaced of 22-year-old Zayn holding hands with Lauren Richardson as he partied in Phuket, Thailand, but the pretty brunette's mother insists her daughter only wanted a picture and isn't even a fan of the 'Best Song Ever' group.

Michelle Richardson told The Sun newspaper: "She was just on holiday in Thailand posing for a snap.

"It's not as if she's a teenybopper following them around. She's more into Florence + The Machine."

Following his return to the UK, Zayn's family and friends are planning to rally around and support him.

A source said: "He is now going to surround himself with family and Perrie is likely to be at his side. It hasn't been easy for her, either."

His mum Trisha added: "I have spoken to him and he's fine."

Zayn is expected to rejoin the band - which also comprises Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson - later this month as they continue their world tour in Africa.
