Clarkson: Yes, the BBC has sacked me
Jeremy Clarkson has appeared to confirm the BBC has sacked him following a row with an Irish producer of Top Gear in which Clarkson allegedly threw a punch.
The row was apparently about the lack of hot food after a day's filiming, for which Clarkson is said to have blamed producer Oisin Tymon.
Speaking at a fund-raising event in London last night, Clarkson twice refered to being "sacked" by the BBC. It is not clear whether he was joking.

The BBC has not yet commented.
Meanwhile, Clarksonâs Top Gear co-hosts have reportedly declined an offer to continue the rest of the series without him.
James May and Richard Hammond âdidnât want to do it without Jeremyâ, a BBC executive reportedly said.
An option to have the pair fronting the studio segments of the show for the remaining episodes of this series was rejected, the unnamed executive said.
