The once troubled teenager has returned to the cobbles and is set to fall in love with drug dealer Callum Logan on her return to Weatherfield.
Sarah - who's played by actress Tina O'Brien - will initially attempt to take back to Milan, Italy after she runs away but will be convinced to stay by Callum (Sean Ward), who tells Sarah her future lies in Weatherfield.
Stuart Blackburn, the show's producer, explained that the romance will lead to trouble for Sarah-Louise's younger brother David (Jack P. Shepherd), who is the stepfather of Calum's son Max.
"Very quickly, Callum takes a real liking to Sarah. And it's a liking that's returned. So there'll be huge problems for David,” he revealed.
"David's got his own massive problems. Callum has taken a real liking to Max. And Max is his biological son. He's got almost as many rights to Max as David does."
Meanwhile, Lucy Fallon - who was recently cast as Bethany following the decision to axe actress Katie Redford - has admitted she's nervous but excited to make her on-screen debut in late March.
"Walking onto the set was surreal and nerve wracking but everyone has been really welcoming and I am thrilled to have been given this great opportunity," the 19-year-old actress shared.
