FIRST LOOK: Disney’s new Frozen sequel

It’s here! The first look at Disney’s Frozen Sequel - Frozen Fever.

Though, before you put back on that Elsa wig you've just about packed away, we have to break the news to you that it’s only a seven minute short.

The mini-movie will see the famous character reunite with the director and most importantly songwriters - husband and wife duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez - from the original smash hit ‘Let It Go’.

Although only seven minutes long, Frozen Fever has already set high promises and they've already revealed that the mini-plot surrounds Anna’s summer solstice birthday party, which doesn't go to plan after Elsa is hit with a cold.

“It's another side of Elsa the audience hasn't seen before and we hadn't really played with in the original feature,” said the film’s co-director Chris Buck in an interview with USA Today.

Director Jennifer Lee also added: “Elsa doesn't get a cold in the usual way. She's special. Surprising things occur that wreak a little havoc.”

"Life for the two princesses has changed in other ways. Olaf, Kristoff and of course Sven the reindeer add to their perfectly unperfect family."

And there is also a new song - which you all will be delighted to know and it's said to be even catchier than Idina Menzel’s ‘Let It Go’.

“If history is any indicator, kids will go nuts,’ said Josh Gad, who voiced the character of Olaf The Snowman.

The short will air before the start of Disney’s Cinderella when it’s released here in Ireland on April 3.

So before Frozen Fever takes over, here's a reminder of that smash hit for old time sake.

Sorry we have to … we’re finding it hard to let it go!
