TV3 says goodbye to 'Late Lunch Live'

TV3 have axed day-time show Late Lunch Live – in favour of an evening chat show.

But don’t worry if you’re a fan of lunch time show presenters Lucy Kennedy and Martin King, they'll be making the move too.

The new segment will be named ‘The 7 O’Clock show’ and wil 'obvs' air from 7pm Monday, February 16.

This means the show will now go up against popular soap Emmerdale, which is currently airing on rival channel UTV Ireland.

“The new format will see a mix of new features and old favourites from ‘Late Lunch Live’ as well as an array of well-known guests and lots of audience interaction,” a statement read.

Martin King said he was happy about the move: “For ‘Late Lunch Live’ we were in the kids paddling pool with all our guests, but ‘The 7 O’ Clock Show’ means we’ll be on the diving board about to jump into the grown-ups pool, and I can’t wait!”

And co-host Lucy said she's looking forward to moving the audience to the later time.

“We’ve a loyal audience but this new slot at 7pm will allow us to bring the madness to a much wider audience. It’s so exciting,” she said.

”The most exciting thing is that it still states in my contract – they have to feed me live on telly!”
