Youtube sensation and Internet personality Zoella has released her first novel today - Girl Online.
The debut novel is expected to become an overnight number one best-seller in the UK after reaching number three on the Amazon Best Sellers chart thanks to the scale of pre-orders alone.
The book’s publishers Penguin even broke the embargo on its sale.
And following her highly successful beauty range - Zoella Beauty - which sold out in minutes, big things are expected from her literature venture.
Zoe has always expressed an interest in writing throughout her vlogs, and even blogged about a book she wrote as a teen.
“When I was 13 I would rush home from school to work on a book I was writing. I wrote it up on word and it was hundreds of pages long,” she said.
“I've known since then that I've always wanted to write my own book, so was so excited when I was approached by Penguin to make this a reality! Since then we've been working together to bring my ideas to life and create my very own novel - Girl Online!”
She even shows her original book in this vlog:
And of course shows us everything behind the scenes here:
Girl Online follows the story of Penny, a teenager who blogs about her hidden feelings on friendship, family, boys and her anxieties.
The novel is based in part on Sugg’s own experience of charting her everyday thoughts in video blogs or 'vlogs' online.
The book’s launch party was held in central London last night with fellow successful youtubers such as Zoe’s boyfriend Alfie Deyes (who has also released a no. 1 best seller), Tanya Burr, Jim Chapman, Marcus Butler and The Sacconejolys all in attendance.
On your marks, get set, go - as it’s undoubtedly going to sell out in minutes.
