Keating: I'm in a great place and ready to start living
Former Boyzone star Ronan Keating says he is “ready to start living” again thanks to his new partner Storm Uechtritz.
The Dublin-born singer, who split from his wife Yvonne in 2011, met the Australian TV executive on the set of 'The X Factor' and the couple are now talking about marriage and possibly starting a family.
Ronan, 37, credits his 32-year-old girlfriend with helping him come to terms with the death of his bandmate Stephen Gately, telling Hello! Magazine: “Storm understood me and was there and it was everything to me.”
He added: “We became real good friends, and the chemistry got greater and greater and over time one thing led to another.
“I’ve never known anything like it – she’s my best friend.”
Uechtritz said the pair are already planning their wedding.
She said: “We’ve both found our soulmate and we know that we are going to spend the rest of our lives together. He’s amazing; I love him.”
She added: “We’ve talked about having a baby and it is a possibility for us, yes.”
Keating said: “I feel like I’m on the climb again, I’m feeling like it’s a bit of a rebirth for me, like I’m having a renaissance and a lot of that is down to Storm.
“I’m in a great place and I’m ready to start living.”
