Sheeran eyes Wembley gig

Ed Sheeran wants to sell out Wembley Stadium next year.

The 'Drunk' singer is determined to push his career as far as possible and though he admits it would be very "expensive" to stage a gig at the vast London venue, he thinks it would provide a hugely memorable highlight to look back on.

He said: "I want to sell out Wembley. Just me and my guitar. 80,000 people. Solo. It'll be expensive but what a moment. Maybe next summer.

"I don't see the glass ceiling yet and I have never reached a point where I'm like, 'OK that's it, enough, I'm done.'

"It's about how big it can get and how many records I can sell and how big the fan base can really be."

The 23-year-old singer admits he is amazed at how successful he has become and finds his popularity "weird".

He added in an interview with Britain's GQ magazine: "Every single day something new happens that is utterly mental and I have to be like, 'What is going on?' So what amazes me is how far I can take it.

"This ginger kid with a small guitar being able to sell out arenas around the world is a really, really weird thing."
