Nicole Scherzinger thinks Jack Black would be a "great" 'X Factor' judge.
The 'Boomerang' singer has backed the comedy actor and part-time Tenacious D rocker to join the panel of the pop star search show because he has great musical knowledge.
When quizzed on who she'd like to replace departing mentor Tulisa, Nicole said: "I don't know what's going on with Tulisa, that's her business. I had a great relationship with her. She did a brilliant job. A dream judge? I'd love to be back with the same ones but I think Jack Black would be great. He's off the wall but knows his music."
The former Pussycat Dolls star was hugely popular with viewers in her debut series as a full-time judge and she would be open to a return to Simon Cowell's show this year.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Nicole - who is busy working on her next solo LP - said: "We haven't had talks about it. I would definitely tickle with the idea (of returning). But I went out on a high last year. It was better than I expected. Right now I'm focused on my music and trying not to get ahead of myself."
Nicole mentored James Arthur to victory on the ITV programme last year and also had Jahmene Douglas in the final.
However, Nicole has cast doubt on her return by admitting she could be shooting a film in the summer which would mean she couldn't participate in 'The X Factor'.
The 34-year-old beauty - who appeared in 'Men In Black 3' - told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's all up in the air at the moment. I might be shooting a movie in the summer time. I want to get back into films. I think that's what I went to school for.
"To be involved in the right film project is something I definitely want to pursue in the future. I've been reading stuff."
The line-up for this year's judging panel is still unconfirmed although Sharon Osbourne and Mel B are thought to be the favourites to replace Tulisa.
