Rylan Clark has landed a presenting job on 'Daybreak'.
The former 'X Factor' contestant - who was booted out of the competition on Sunday - will fill in for Richard Arnold on the ITV1 breakfast show from December 3-7 as the former 'Strictly Come Dancing' star takes a well-earned rest after leaving the BBC One dancing show earlier this month.
Rylan said: "I can't believe it! I only left 'X Factor' a week ago and now I'm joining Lorraine and Aled on the Daybreak sofa!
"I'm a massive fan of the show and it's going to be so much fun sharing all the showbiz news and gossip with the nation each morning. I'm looking forward to keeping Richard's seat warm while he's swanning off on holiday, but I won't be asking for any dancing tips just yet!"
The flamboyant star will present the showbiz slot of the show at 7.50am, starting on Monday, which will see him reporting on the major showbiz parties of the week and giving his views on all the hot celebrity gossip.
Richard - who is taking a one-week holiday after recently juggling his 'Strictly' training with his job on 'Daybreak' - explained: "The wonderful thing about this hurly burly business we call show is that you know ultimately you will one day be replaced by someone younger, thinner and in this case much taller than you. I wish Rylan all the best in his new role at 'Daybreak'."
While Rylan was voted off 'The X Factor' last weekend, the Rylan-Factor has been in full flow this week as Athlete's 2005 hit 'Wires' – which the wannabe performed in his sing off last Sunday – saw a 450 per cent increase in streams on music streaming service Spotify.
