Holmes hoping to direct

Katie Holmes has revealed she would like to direct a movie.

The 33-year-old – who filed for divorce from husband Tom Cruise in June – told Women’s Wear Daily that she is trying to challenge herself by tackling new things and being at the helm of a film is on her list of ambitions.

“I executive-produced a film called The Romantics, and I do have interest in producing and directing in a few years,” she said.

Katie revealed she wants to try new things every day without “being afraid to fail”.

“Who cares?” she said. “At least you tried. It’s usually the people who haven’t tried who are the naysayers.”
