Republic of Telly gave 'The Field' the John Creedon treatment - and it's hilarious

That's the premise for a scetch on last Monday's Republic of Telly, where John Creedon played The Bull, alongside Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh, Aonghus McAnally, and Dave Fanning.

The Bull learns that RTÉ are selling off 10 acres of land in Dublin 4, and vows that he won't let any outsiders come along and ruin RTÉ's nice bubble of adverts and funding.

He tells a crowded pub filled with RTÉ staff:

"If you think I'm going to face that feishty Anne Doyle over in the canteen without the field, ha ha, you've something else coming to you.

"No foreign channel will buy my field. The licence fee will go up by €50, there'll be loads more ads and we'll all get on nice and happy here in RTÉ."
