Culture shock! Bewildered Aussie journalist accosted by overexuberant Irishman at Melbourne Cup
Mr Martin, who co-owns the French horse, began leaping around the place, hugging anyone in proximity, including Channel 7 reporter Neil Kearney who was bewildered by the man’s joy.
Reminding the Irishman that his horse had only come second, Aidan screamed "I don’t care, I don’t care, we woulda been happy with last!"

The horse may have missed out on the €2.5m prize money, but his owner won’t be curtailing the celebrations!
Ladies and gentlemen, a proud Irishman doing his bit for generic stereotypes everywhere of the mad irishman!
Fair play to him, it is great to see an Irishman doing well and proud of his work.
