Mr Martin, who co-owns the French horse, began leaping around the place, hugging anyone in proximity, including Channel 7 reporter Neil Kearney who was bewildered by the man’s joy.

Reminding the Irishman that his horse had only come second, Aidan screamed "I don’t care, I don’t care, we woulda been happy with last!"
