Tipperary's new team mascot has raised the game for the big match on Sunday

An ancient rivalry is to play this weekend in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final, but a very modern mascot has been chosen by one side going into battle.

Kilkenny are to play Tipperary this Sunday and in Cashel, there was only one woman that could lead their team to glory and that was, of course, the one and only Kim Kardashian.

There may be some who question her commitment to the beautiful sport of hurling, or in fact her geography knowledge of Tipperary and Kilkenny, but with a sassy attitude and a behind to die for, the Tipp team have overlooked these slight shortcomings in favour of her more popular characteristics.

On a poster outside the fine establishment that is Cashel Mart, an image of Kim Kardashian is currently emblazoned over the Tipp Colours, holding a bottle of Bulmers which is being poured into the Liam McCarthy Cup in the safe hands of Tipperary hurler Barry Heffernan.

What an image.

One of the most famous faces in the world, with Ireland’s most coveted trophy, a pint of fine cider and even finer hurler.

If that doesn’t motivate the Tipp team to glory, nothing will.

Of course, here at irishexaminer.com, we don’t take sides and wish both teams the best of luck this Sunday, but the Kilkenny cats might need a new mascot if they want to compete with Kim Kardashian!

Now all we want to know is will she be on the sidelines on Sunday cheering on her team?
