Kerry shop runs 'Lovely Legs' competition

The Lovely Girls competition on Craggy island might have been fictional, but the ’Lovely Legs’ competition is real and running in Listowel, Co Kerry.

A shop in Kerry is running a ’Lovely Legs’ competition in the run up to Valentines Day.

Men and women are being asked to submit pictures of their lovely legs for consideration and a chance to win the big prize of €100 and a years supply of pretty poly tights or a suit,shirt and tie respectively.

The men’s competition is being judged by Lynn and Fiona O’Connor and the ladies will be judged by Andrew Morrissey from Radio Kerry.

The clothing and interiors store, called East River said the idea came from a regular customer who commented: "You have a great view every morning, the Tights display, all the Lovely Legs on the packaging of the tights".

The competition was initially just for women, but after some consideration a second competition for men’s legs was set up.

Applicants must be over 18 years of age and the closing date is Valentines Day, February 14 at 2pm.

So get the legs out and start snapping to be in with a chance of winning all those tights or your suit, shirt and tie.
