Councillor Noeleen Reilly was the victim of a hacking by some young chancers on Twitter - but she managed to see the funny side.

Three young lads managed to log into the Sinn Féin politician's personal Twitter account and they posted a number of tongue-in-cheek messages.

Their reign was short-lived, however, and they finished up by posting an apology and a selfie.

Back in control of her own account, Cllr Reilly quickly deleted the colourful tweets and informed her followers of her return by poking fun at her temporary usurpers.

"This is Noeleen, the real one," she wrote. "Me thinks those young lads are in bad need of a date. Very excitable."
