Jean Byrne's Bowie-esque outfit divided Twitter last night

RTÉ’s Jean Byrne is well-known for her out-there fashion choices and often wears eye-catching ensembles which can sometimes help distract from the depressing weather reports she has to deliver.

And last night’s choice - complete with shoulder spikes - got a lot of people talking. As usual, some loved it, some hated it and others were just confused.

But some wondered if her look was, in fact, a tribute to the late David Bowie - no stranger to a divisive sartorial choice himself.
