PIC: There was a silly but quite amusing typo on the news last night

Fine Gael TD Simon Harris was being interviewed on the RTÉ Six One News last night in his role as Minister of State for the Office of Public Works when the caption writer fell afoul of that tricky ’l’ in ’public’ that, when forgotten, drastically changes the meaning of the word, inducing snickers across the country.

Juvenile? Well, yes. But laughs are few and far between on the news so we’ll take what we can get. We can’t have Teresa Mannion level of entertainment every night.

But, no Simon Harris hasn’t been given a new ministerial brief (he he) and the typo was corrected in time for the Nine O’clock News.
