Well Holy God! Glenroe is returning to our screens this Christmas

For 18 years, Glenroe held Irish people in thrall on Sunday nights and we were left heartbroken when we bade farewell to our favourite fictional town in May 2001.
Now, 14 years later, it's back for one night only as the cast take a special walk down memory lane this Christmas in 'Well Holy God It’s Glenroe'.
The documentary was the brainchild of RTÉ presenter Bláthnaid Treacy, who appeared in the show as Miley and Biddy's daughter Denise. She got her big break on the nation's favourite soap when she was just three months old.
These days Bláthnaid is an RTÉ presenter on Two Tube, and she will present the National Chart Show on 2fm on New Year’s Day 2016.

Bláthnaid spent two years developing 'Well Holy God It’s Glenroe' before it went into production in late 2015.
Mary McEvoy, Emmet Bergin, Geraldine Plunkett, Blathnaid Treacy and Mario Rosenstock will be among the actors revisiting their much-loved characters from Wesley Burrowes’ rural Irish series.
The late Joe Lynch and Mick Lally, and their famous onscreen partnership of Dinny and Miley Byrne, will also be remembered on the night.
