The most horrifically mortifying moment happened on The Ray D'Arcy show last night

Warning once this has been seen, it cannot be unseen.

We think it is fair to say that The Ray D’Arcy Show has not gotten off to the best of starts, but last night’s horrific embarrassment was simply mortifying for all involved.

In possibly the worst decision ever made on television, Ray D’Arcy announced a special Hollywood star coming on to the show with a lead up that whipped the crowd into a serious frenzy.

The prestigious Jack Nicholson was tauntingly introduced to the audience only to suffer the anti-climax of the century when it was unveiled that the ’star of the show’ was a Jack Nicholson look-a-like called Norman.

The worst part is, the look-a-like was so convincing no one really noticed it wasn’t him throughout the standing ovation he received - but things began to get a little ugly by the time they sat down for a chat.

Even Ray basically begged for the forgiveness of his stunned crowd by telling them "it wasn’t my idea".

And what about the Jack Nicholson look-a-like?

He was on holidays here from America, worst holiday he ever had, we reckon.
