Only in Ireland: An impromptu trad session on the Nitelink

Part of the experience, of, course, is The Lads who figure everyone on the upper deck would enjoy a bit of a sing-a-long. But that was put to shame last weekend when this chap pulled out his uileann pipes for an off-the-cuff trad session.

The uploader to YouTube, Shaun Nugent, said the "absolute legend" decided to play the tune on the Nitelink to Celbridge - the ol' 67N - presumably after playing his way through a session earlier that night.

The uileann pipes are a more modern form of bagpipe, and a relatively rare skill. They are difficult to play and expensive - but they're a great addition to any session. You just might expect to see them at a fireside rather than the back the bus.

Still, that's the Nitelink for you. A magical journey where anything can happen.
