Video: John Oliver and Martin Sheen’s ’doomsday video’ is much better than CNN’s
A few months back we brought you the Turner Doomsday Video, the last piece of video which will be broadcast by CNN on the last day of world.
The video was developed by former media mogul Ted Turner, founder of the world’s first 24hr news channel.
Whilst he promised to 'broadcast until the apocalypse', we highly doubt that the last thing viewers wold want to watch is a grainy video of military band play ‘Nearer my God to thee’.
But fear not, John Oliver has come to the rescue yet again with his own Doomsday video, with a little help from everyones favourite American president, Martin Sheen.
To just watch the video skip to 2:30 or else you can listen to Oliver making fun of CNN for two and a half minutes.
“Hello, I’m Martin Sheen. And if you’re watching this, the end of times are upon us.”
The video isn’t so much a lament that the end is nigh, more a look back at humanity's best times on planet Earth, as well as some of the major screw ups we have had over the years.
“Unless of course we’re all dying because lions evolved and conquered the human race in which case, well played lions!”
“So now, before we are all vaporised or whatever awaits us, I think it’s fitting the last thing we all see is this sick basketball shot!”
“We did it! This is Martin Sheen, over and out!”
