Professional craftsmen built Games of Thrones’ Iron, *ahem* ’Throne’

The Iron Throne from Game of Thronesis probably one of the most iconic props in popular culture. Now it’s a toilet.

Super Fan Builds is a show that takes incredibly big fans and does something special for them. And for John Giovanazzi, who runs a nerd-friendly bar, that was the Iron 'Throne' - a custom-built toilet.

Tim Baker Creations is the prop builder responsible for this glorious nonsense. With a multi-person team taking care of frame construction, sword casting, sculpting and painting.

Despite the silliness of the idea, the team do incredible work, and it's easy to see how seriously they take their craft. They also think about certain practicalities of sanitary equipment - coating the creation in marine-grade epoxy for protection.

"I've never really had my artwork used for… this… exact purpose," Baker says when it's all finished. "I hope," he adds.

And the end result was finally posted by John to his own Facebook page.

Amazing stuff.
