Football’s funniest manager, Mike Bassett, is back with a new film

Remember Mike Bassett?

If you do, it will be a fond memory.

Mike Bassett: England Mananger was a 2001 mokumentary film that followed the fortunes of Mike Bassett, played superbly by Ricky Tomlinson, as he tried to guide England to World Cup glory.

The film gained a cult following for football fans everywhere with people falling in love with Mike, his assistant Dave Dodds (played by Bradley Walsh) and the colourful characters of the English national team.

Well now fans of Bassett and his famous 4-4-2 formation can get excited all over again as a sequel is set to hit out screens.

Mike Bassett: Interim Manager follows Mike as he returns to the hot seat when England's German manager Jorgen Mannstein jumps ship.

Football fans, get excited.
