University football team banned from league due to Pornhub sponsorship

Kent University's Rutherford raiders was contacted by Pornhub offering them legitimate sponsorship, after the team printed the logo on their shirts as prank.

It was not long after the sponsorship deal was announced that the University officials intervened.
The team have been told that they will not be allowed to compete in the Universities league if they turn up to games wearing the 'inappropriate' football kit.
"The University of Kent sports department would never sanction sponsorship of this type - it is totally inappropriate" said Martin Herrema, a University spokesman.
"The team will not be allowed to wear the shirts at any time."
Speaking to a local paper, a member of the team said that the only reason they were being punished in this fashion is because the university officials are out of touch.

"The university cricket team are sponsored by Kingfisher, which is also an age restricted product," he said.
"The university rugby team once had training shirts with ’80 minutes, 15 positions, no protection, wanna ruck?'. The decision is made by people in Kent Sport that are out of touch with what’s socially acceptable.
"It’s hard for football teams to find a sponsor. Both Kent Sport and Rutherford refused to give us any money. Clearly PornHub did because there was an opportunity to create a bit of attention. I personally haven’t come across anyone that has found it anything other than funny."
Naturally, Twitter reacted as woud be expected.
