According to the Giambattista Valli press team, the strapless gown, with its light floral motif and billowing ruffles, was a blend of silk mousseline and silk organza. Jessica incorporated her “something old” into the veil, which held her heirloom pearls.

Jessica revealed that the only theme she concentrated on was “romance, romance, romance. Kind of whimsical and dramatic.”

Timberlake told Hello! that as the bride walked down the aisle, he serenaded her with a song of his own creation: “I figured if there was something I was going to be able to offer, it would be to sing her down the aisle. Grown men were weeping. Hopefully it’s because I didn’t sound bad.”

But their lavish wedding has become the subject of scandal after a video of homeless people wishing them well was leaked online.

It has emerged Timberlake’s friend Justin Huchel made a spoof video to play at the wedding featuring vagrants, transsexuals, and buskers congratulating the happy couple.

The video was posted by but has since been taken down after a lawyer representing Huchel said the copyrighted video had been stolen.

The opening title to the video read: “Greetings from Your Hollywood Friends Who Just Couldn’t Make It. Featuring Sid, Chuck, Robert, and More!”

One toothless man tells the camera: “Justin and Jessica, I haven’t seen you for a long time. I hope the wedding goes fine for you. My gift is in the mail.”

He later told, who call him Eddie, that he was paid $40 (€31) for the message and had no idea what it was for.

Meanwhile, Timberlake’s grandmother Sadie Bomar revealed that the singer had flown her a piece of wedding cake 8,000km, as she was unable to attend the wedding. The star’s grandfather Bill was in hospital and so his grandparents were unable to fly to Italy.
