Kneecap announce major Cork summer gig as new album hits number one

Irish rap trio Kneecap are coming to Cork this summer, with a just-announced gig at Live at the Marquee.
The group, whose members hail from Belfast and Derry and who perform as Gaeilge, saw their new album reach number one in the Irish charts.
The will visit the tented venue on July 6, with tickets going on general sale this Friday at 9am from Ticketmaster.
The news comes ahead of two scheduled appearances in the Savoy in Cork this month as part of the release campaign for their new album. Individual tickets for those shows sold out quickly.
The rappers will play two sets at the recently reopened Savoy, at 6.30pm and 9pm on Tuesday, May 26.

Members Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí will spend the summer on the festival circuit with appearances at such events as Primavera in Barcelona, Roskilde in Denmark, and All Together Now in Co Waterford. They have also performed at Coachella and Glastonbury.
Live at the Marquee returns to Cork for its 21st year on June 10 with K-Pop Forever! Tribute and the series of gigs will run until July 8, with acts such as David Gray, Paul Weller, Kesha and James Taylor taking to the stage over the summer.
