Peaky Blinders fans haven’t seen the last of Tommy Shelby in the new film which fast-forwards to Birmingham, England, in 1940.
Netflix released the official trailer for the sequel film on Thursday, having initially shared a teaser for the film back in December.
The official trailer shows Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy, emerging from his self-imposed exile to confront his illegitimate son, Duke, played by Barry Keoghan, who has become the new leader of the Peaky Blinders.
In the trailer, Ada Shelby, played by Sophie Rundle, tells Shelby that Duke, who was first introduced on the TV show's sixth season, is running the gang "like it’s 1919 all over again."
New character Kaulo, portrayed by Rebecca Ferguson, is also introduced in the trailer.
Fans flocked to the comments section of the trailer, which was uploaded to YouTube, to share their thoughts on the new footage.

“Goosebumps! While screaming inside,” one fan of the show wrote.
“Absolute cinema... I'm gonna have to rewatch all 6 seasons of Peaky Blinders because I have terrible memory,” another wrote.
“I hope Netflix delivers just like the show,” another anticipated.
is set to be released in select theaters on March 6, and will be available on Netflix starting March 20.
