Former Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Leah Barniville will star in this year’s panto at The Everyman Theatre in Cork.

Barniville, who reached the semi-finals of the popular talent competition back in 2017, will lead the cast as Cinderella.

At just 14 years old, the Meath native wowed Simon Cowell and the other judges with her impressive vocals on the show.

Since her appearance on the show, Barniville has received over 60 million views on YouTube and has sold out multiple solo concerts and has performed in many venues both at home and abroad, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the National Opera House in Wexford and in Áras an Uachtaráin.

A seasoned veteran of the stage, Barniville is joined by a huge cast including Zach O Brien, an MTU Cork School of Music graduate who plays Prince Charming; Cork’s favourite female Dame, Fionula Lenihan; and Lily Carey Murphy and Roisin Lane as the ugly stepsisters Zowie and Chloe.

Cinderella, written by Ciaran Bermingham in association with Catherine Mahon Buckley, will run at The Everyman this festive period from November 29 to January 11.

The Everyman and CADA are also offering additional accessible performances of the panto, details of which are on The Everyman website.
