Pixies are set to play in Limerick for the first time.

Pixies are set to perform in Limerick for the first time as part of their worldwide tour.

Celebrating 40 years since their formation in 1986, the band will mark this milestone with a show in Limerick’s King John’s Castle on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

Founding members Black Francis, Joey Santiago and David Lovering, joined by bassist Emma Richardson, will take to the stage to deliver a “career-spanning” set reflecting four decades of music.

From their first chaotic club shows to becoming one of the most influential alternative rock bands of all time, Pixies have never lost their edge.

With explosive live performances, marked by raw intensity and an unmistakable sound, they have inspired generations of musicians and fans alike.

Across a catalogue that includes the jagged brilliance of Surfer Rosa (1988), the dark-pop mastery of Doolittle (1989), and their most recent acclaimed release The Night The Zombies Came, Pixies have consistently proven themselves to be innovators—shaping the sound of modern rock while staying true to their singular vision.

Four decades in, Pixies remain as vital, relevant, and unstoppable as ever.

Dolans will welcome the Pixies for what is set to be a “landmark night”.

Mick Dolan, the owner of Dolans said: “This is the first announcement for our King John’s Castle summer shows, and we couldn’t think of a more iconic band to begin with. It’s going to be a night to remember.”

Tickets are to go on sale this Friday, September 26 at 10am.
