Gone for 30 years, but certainly not forgotten in his home city, the unveiling of “Rory Gallagher Avenue” took place at Cork Airport on Saturday morning.

Fellow Leesider, Taoiseach Micheál Martin, was on hand to perform the renaming ceremony of the main thoroughfare through the airport, with Cork’s Lord Mayor Dan Boyle and members of the Gallagher family among those in attendance.
