It’s the Irish-language horror movie that was made on a tiny budget of just €3,000. Young filmmaker John Farrelly used his own savings to get An Taibhse (The Ghost) made - and the resulting thriller caught the eye of one of Ireland’s best-known filmmakers.

My Left Foot director Jim Sheridan was impressed by an early rough-cut screening of the film. He came on board as executive producer and offered advice to Farrelly as he developed the final film.
