This afternoon’s matinee and evening performances of Cinderella at the Cork Opera House have been rescheduled.
Cork Opera House released a statement on social media today citing a “serious illness of an immediate family member” of one of the key cast members.
Today’s 2pm showing will now take place tomorrow at 5pm and this evening’s showing will now take place at 7pm on New Year's Day.
CEO of Cork Opera House Eibhlín Gleeson said:
“We are aware of how disappointed our patrons will be. If neither of these dates are possible for you - we will do our best to accommodate you at another time.
“Once again, we are deeply sorry to have to reschedule these shows. We ask for our patrons' understanding at this time.”
The statement said that tickets for today’s showing will be valid for the rescheduled performances and if the above dates don’t suit the patrons, they can reach out to the box office who will try to find a more suitable time for all involved to see Cinderella.
A spokesperson for Cork Opera House confirmed to the Irish Examiner that the rescheduled shows will not impact any other shows.
