Paul Mescal to host Saturday Night Live in December
The Gladiator II actor is set to appear on the long-running skit show for the first time.
Irish actor Paul Mescal will host the US television show Saturday Night Live next month.
The Gladiator II actor is set to make his first appearance on December 7, alongside musical guest Shaboozey. It will also be the country singer's first time on the NBC show.
Mescal follows other Irish actors who have previously hosted SNL, including Colin Farrell, Saoirse Ronan, and Brendan Gleeson.
It comes following the release of Ridley Scott's Gladiator II, where the Kildare actor takes on the lead role of Lucius.
The film has entered the international box office with €87 million earned across 63 markets, according to Variety.
Mescal's episode follows last Saturday's show, which was hosted by and saw performances by Charli XCX.
The Grammy-nominated singer performed both '360' and 'Sympathy is a Knife' from her latest album Brat.
