Cork Film Festival announces closing film and return of star director

Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield in We Live In Time, directed by Cork's John Crowley.

Two of Cork’s famous sons will make a return of sorts for the city’s film festival in November. UK-based John Crowley will be back on Leeside to attend the Irish premiere of his latest film, while Rory Gallagher: Irish Tour ’74 will get a special screening at the festival where it originally had its premiere.

Douglas native Crowley will introduce the first Irish viewing of We Live in Time, at the Everyman on Saturday, November 9, and the following day he will participate in a discussion at Triskel Christchurch about his impressive career. The 55-year-old broke through with Intermission in 2003, and has also directed such films as Brooklyn (2015) and The Goldfinch (2019).
