Is this the film that finally nets Saoirse Ronan her Oscar? 

Based on the memoir of the same name by Amy Liptrot, Ronan plays Rona, who is out of rehab after suffering with alcoholism and decides to move from her wild life in London back home to the Orkney Islands off the north coast of Scotland. 

It’s a coming-of-age tale about coming home.

Folk legends and new talent mix for what’s sure to be an exciting week of the 45th Cork Folk Festival.

Literary Festival: Write by the Sea 

Friday, September 27 to Sunday, September 29, Kilmore Quay, Co Wexford.

This boutique literary festival features readings, conversations, workshops, and interviews, opening on Friday with a special ceremony led by the poet Patrick Cotter.

The year-long creative climate action arts project Gleann a’ Phúca, responding to the ecological, cultural, industrial, and historical heritage of The Glen River Park, culminates with a full day of events showcasing artist works and poetry trail launch.

The day includes a picnic, dance performance, film and animation screenings and the launch of the FuaimMná audio trail celebrating the women of the Glen River Park.

The global dating experiment returns to Netflix for its seventh season. 

Ranging from ages 27 to 37, the cast includes military veterans, multiple scientists, a lawyer, journalist, and — for the first time ever — a pair of siblings who will enter the experiment together.
