The annual Fastnet Film Festival has concluded for another year following a jam-packed weekend in Schull.

Irish stars James Nesbitt and Paul Mescal were part of the annual festival that ran in the West Cork village from May 22 to 26.

Fastnet, which has a programme filled with events, focuses on the craft of filmmaking hosting seminars, workshops and masterclasses with industry experts.

It is a short film festival without a cinema and so attendees get the chance to experience screenings from a range of locations such as on Cape Clear, the village hall and local pubs and restaurants in Schull.

This year's festival also included producers Ed Guiney and David Puttnam; directors Paddy Breathnach and Emer Reynolds; and Ken Loach’s scriptwriter Paul Laverty.
