Cannes Film Festival: 10 directors eying Palme d’Or glory

Francis Ford Coppola with Chloe Fineman and Nathalie Emmanuel on the set of MEGALOPOLIS. While the 77th Cannes Film Festival promises a mouth-watering array of movies, Coppola's return 45 years after APOCALYPSE NOW is the real story of Cannes this year. Picture: Mega/GC

With the dust finally settling on the Hollywood actors’ and writers’ strikes, filmdom appears to be returning to some semblance of normality. Rest assured, the Palais will be packed tight like the suitcases that land in Nice Côte d’Azur Airport this week.

A worthwhile pilgrimage, especially in 2024.
