Olivia O'Leary will host a discussion at Cork World Book Fest

Born in 1949, Olivia O’Leary grew up in Borris, County Carlow. In 1972, she joined RTÉ as a current affairs presenter, working on shows such as Today Tonight and Prime Time. She won several awards for broadcasting, and was the BBC’s first female presenter of Newsnight. From 2017-2022, she presented The Poetry Programme on RTÉ Radio 1. At Cork World Book Fest’s opening night, she will host a discussion with three Irish women writers, Tuesday, April 23, City Library, Grand Parade, Cork.
